Volunteers

Thank you to all of the volunteer firefighters, EMS providers, rescue workers, and support personnel who make our Elder Mountain community better every day.

We are always looking for more volunteers that live or reside locally to our community. If you are interested, please send an email to eldervfd@gmail.com.

Volunteer Hour Tracking:

Tracking volunteer firefighter hours is important for securing grant funding, demonstrating community impact, ensuring compliance, managing resources, and recognizing the contributions of volunteers.

We are currently tracking volunteer hours for the following:

Emergency Response (Calls)

  • This includes the time spent responding to fire incidents, medical emergencies, traffic accidents, and other calls for service.

Training & Certification

  • Time dedicated to drills, training sessions, attending courses, and preparing for and taking certification exams.

Maintenance & Equipment Checks

  • Hours spent on apparatus and equipment inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.

Station Duty/Standby

  • Designated periods where volunteers are at the station or readily available for calls.

Administrative & Community Service

  • This can encompass tasks like paperwork, community outreach events, fundraising activities, and other non-emergency support functions.
