The Elder Mountain Volunteer Fire Department (EMVFD) is a fully volunteer force is a first line of defense to the Elder Mountain Community.
We are a unique community on the outskirts of Marion County and on the top of a mountain.
Our volunteer fire department is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization staffed by approximately 20 volunteers that are Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Medical First Responders and support staff that is either trained or currently in training.
The EMVFD responds to fire, medical, rescue and other emergencies in its response area and maintains mutual aid agreements with surrounding emergency units to supplement its resources.
